As you probably know, I really dig the new web comedy show called the Casanovas. Written, directed and acted by real, serious and not fake veteran TV guys, I’ve gotten addicted to this show and can usually be found on Sunday nights at 11:55pm anxiously counting down the last 5 minnutes to Moday morning in front of my computer. Monday being the day that the newest episodes come out.
So I was stoked when episode 8 was released yesterday. Maybe my hopes were too high. Maybe I had just built up my expectations to an unreasonable level, but I was not really knocked-out by episode 8.

The topic was stock, the end was obvious – thematic originality was never their strong suit – but the jokes and acting just weren’t really very strong this time. And this is a killer, ’cause these guys are only as good as their dialogue and their acting (well, and post-prodcution), becasue their topic has been done so often in TV and movies.
So, this time the show was kinda flat. Geoff was off in his brokenheartedness and Kip kinda carried this one by himself. Sorry dude. It’s only noticeable because he’s so good in all the other episodes.
The best scenes were of the flower seller and the musician – just golden, classic Casanovas. I’m certain that I know the flower salesman…I think he was in one of the retarded policeman’s episodes. Am I right?
Anyhow. so this one wasn’t the holy grail of episodes. So what. They’re still a strong team and I am most certainly looking forward to the next episode….”the Sex Tape”. Oh yes, I’m very much looking forward to that one!
oh yeah, and check out this one from their old Squad Patrol Days, it’s called Fatassanova.

@ President Rezz,
hey, don’t I know you from somewhere
yeah, despite being disappointed with this one, I really am hooked on this show. The guys are really talented and need more exposure -have you seen their stats over on youtube? it’s like hardly anyone is watching. These guys need more exposure.
