Nothing is more ubiquiteous in Hollywood than good ideas and broken promises. So it is with Strike TV – a good idea promising ground-breaking and exciting entertaintainment from main-stream Hollywood creative talent made solely for internet.
The first wave of shows released on the the Strike TV beta portal showed promise. The portal itself is better than most aggregating video sites and the shows listed as “coming soon” seem interesting enough to make me regularaly log into the site to see if they’ve been released yet?
…and in over 2 months, we’ve not seen one new show. It’s enough to make this online video reviewer give up.

Don’t give up on us yet! We’re going to be making an announcement very soon with a launch date and will be opening the doors this month. The shows you’ve seen during our private beta period represent only the first week of our slate. We’ve had a few delays, but everyone at Strike.TV has been working tirelessly to bring our entire slate of fresh, original Hollywood-created content to everybody on the web. We couldn’t be more excited about launching, and we really think you’re going to like what you see. Stay tuned!

If I’m not mistaken, Strike TV is in a private beta. I don’t think you’re going to see many new shows until the real launch. There have been a lot of articles out there about why it’s been delayed, I think, including one fairly recently on Tubefilter. I don’t think it’s time to give up yet.

@ Ian: thanks for taking a moment to stop and pass along that good news. I’m not alone in saying that I’m eager for the launch.
@ Miranda: our reviews here have been about the beta site which we’ve been reviewing here. It’s just that things seem to be progressing slower than we ever would have expected. Thanks for stopping by to comment. Eager viewers like us are apparently a finicky and impatient lot.
