I really didn’t want to write another review about Capt. Chuck’s Clip Critics so soon after the last post. I mean, come on, there’s thousands of new internet videos a day to watch, so why go over old territory? Yes, yes, yes, and all that, but you just have to see the new one:

Is it just me? Am I the only one rolling on the floor lauhing my ass off at this? Maybe…

Sure, the Clip Critics really “tickle my funny bone”, as grandpa used to say, and maybe the content just ain’t high-brow enough for all ya’ll. But you still have to give Captain Chuck his due: he’s got a knack for putting out really high-quality content.

It’s not like with some of the popular video producers online who obviously put in time and effort, but still just don’t quite get profesional quality – I’ll name no names, but here’s a link to give you an idea of what I’m talking about.

Cpt. Chuck knows his shit and has his timing down cold. Ask yourself if you would notice the difference if this was on the boob-tube, on a show like Adult Swim, if you would notice any significant difference in qualtiy between Clip Critics and Space Ghost: Coast to Coast.

If you’re honest with yourself, I think you’d have to admit that this is quality work. Now take a moment to reflect on the fact that this is mostly a one-man-show – writing, filming, audio, editing….now go back and check out an episode of anyone of your favorite TV shows and pay attention to how many people are involved. Do you feel me?

I give this one 5 stars out of a possible 5 stars, partially because I just love the content, but also because Capt. Chuck completly outclasses his peers in ability. These are the kind of videos which are putting the medium of online video production on the map – a serious counter-weight to mainstream media.
