I’ve just spent the past 10 minutes giggling over this inane show and asking myself, “what’s the point of this?” The show is called “the Smartest Guy In the World Show” and it’s another one of the new shows being launched by Strike.tv this month.

The show stars Rick Roesner, self-proclaimed as “probably the smartest guy in the world” and a balding Ray Oldhafer who likes to play with food.

In essence this series seems to be nothing more than a showcase of Rick Rosener getting hit about the face and chest with food by an acrimonious Ray Oldhafner. Sounds lame? Well, it is, kinda…but it’s also vaguely appealing. Don’t ask me why, because I’d be hard pressed to tell you.

Frankly, I’m at a loss on what to say about this one. It’s clearly not fr mass consumption – targeted as it is for the nerdy Jackass generation. It did make me laugh, however and I watched all four live episodes in row immediately upon seeing the first episode, so it’ obviously not terrible.

The Bottom Line:

3 out of 4 stars for this silly show. Personally, I’ll be back to see more episodes, but I’m not sure if you will be.
