It’s a video-version of “choose your own adventure”….with Zombies! Do you really need to know any more?
Take a deep breath, then click here. It’ll take you directly to the site where the show kicks right in, no time for a breather: five frightened and bloody people bust into a house, bar the door and start discussing what to do with a severely injured and unconscious man who may or may not be “infected”.
You have about a minute to decide: Do you let him get shot or do you step in and save him?
This is a fast-paced, fun and pretty gory little show. I love the ease with which you can choose a scenario and play it out and then go back and try something else out (hint: look at the bottom right chapters to change your choices without having to go through the whole deal from the beginning.)
the video is professional, the FX are passable and the acting is…well, what the hell it’s a Zombie movie, what do you care about the acting?
It’s just plain fund to watch and interact – just the thing for folks tired of the cerebral intensity of an ARG like DELETED: the game (which is fun, but very very time consuming). This is the kind of thing that makes online video so cool. Sure you could do it with a DVD, but it wouldn’t be as fun.
Thanks to Nalts, for pointing this one out.

[...] Here is it is, The Online Video Review special Halloween Video Recommendations. Be afraid: Fearnet hosted 2 different video campaigns for the movie 30 Days of Night each of which showed a lead-in story to the movie in several Webisodes. The movie kinda sucked but the webisodes were gorey good fun: Check out 30 Days of night: Blood Trails and 30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust Drexelbox’s Youtube mega collaboration called “the Bloody Door” is pretty good fun. It’s an obvious rip-off of “the Ring” about a Youtube video that if watched, kill you, but with a distinct comedic bent and loads of cameos by Youtubers big and small – even Michael Buckley got involved. And if you’re brave enough to want to watch the haunted, killer video, just click here. If you haven’t seen the Zombie chose-your-own-adventure video phenomina called Survive the outbreak, you really should go watch it and see how many attempts you require to make it out alive. Ther eare supposedly 2 ways, but I’ve only found 1. [...]
