Forget Mystery. Forget Neil Strauss. And don’t even bother talking to me about David DeAngelo, for I have found the newest and most best-est PUA guru of all time – Dirty Jay. He’s fat, he smokes, he wears leather pants, but once you’ve seen him in his muff-lair, you’ll become a fan too.
Sexy Talk with Dirty Jay is my favorite show this week. There’s so many ways that this could have gone wrong, but somehow, they pulled it off and it has ended up becoming a seriously funny and ironic take on the whole dating-guru topic.
The siblings Michael and Christopher Farah (of 3,4 Women Productions) are the master-minds behind this 60Frames original show, but the show would be nothing without Michael Busch as Dirty Jay. Hat’s off to these guys and lobster-pot all around. Here’s the first episode:
Michal Busch kills in this. His geek turned unshakably cocky ladies man is spot-on. Don’t believe that there are folks like this around? When was the last time you went out? There’s a whole army of these guys in the clubs nowadays. And that’s what ultimately makes this such an amusing show. It’s basically taking he piss out of the PUA’s, but done in a way that makes them strangely appealing….kind of like one of those retro 70’s shows. The styles are so lame, that they are actually cool – Italian Spiderman, anyone?
the Bottom Line:
The project began as a trailer for a non-existent film, produced as a student film at Flinders University The first installment of the feature film premiered across the Internet on 22nd May 2008, further installments followed on a weekly basis. Having accrued millions of views, the wily producers have continued to put out the show – and I’m glad they have.
Hey video junkies, it’s Halloween and I know that you really would like nothing better than to turn out the lights, sit back somewhere warm and cozy (it’s snow-raining out my window tonight and I bet it sucks where you are too), grab some of that candy you mugged off the last kids who rang [...]
Project X: the True Story About Power Plant 67 is a little bit X-Files, a little bit Stephen King and a whole lotta Alien (the original movie) although the creature is less creepy. The acting, camera work, post-production etc. is better by far than your average online video, though the acting is, at times, still a bit too shaky for prime time. Hell, it’s the wild west online, so I’m not complaining if the acting is not Oscar quality.
In between imparting advice to his audience about living for today and ridding yourself of fear and regret, he’s a drug addled killer.
The game masters over at DELETED: the Game were kind enough to give me a heads up about their having broken 1 million views. However you measure it, this is an exciting milestone for the folks over at GEN 247 and a strong statement for independent film producers in an online video marketplace increasingly being [...]
We all know the stories about struggling actors and actresses doing crappy day jobs till they hit is big. Some wait tables, some tend bar, others strip. Tom and Anthony are hitmen for “Comquest” a corporate assassination team.
