Tubefilter reports that my old childhood favorite Charlie Brown is set to distribute 20 all-new, made-for-the web video shorts. Damn you Tubefilter for being faster and better informed than me! But thanks for the heads up. I’m a Charlie Brown geek and can’t wait to get the shows.
That’s right I said “get the shows”. They’ll be available on iTunes for a season pass of $7.99, but the first two are free…and here the first one:

Check out the Tubefilter article for production details, if that’s your bag. Me, I’m just happy to know that Chuck’s gonna be part of our little online video crawlspace. Welcome to your new home, Charlie Brown!
Season 2 has just kicked into gear last month (and with a new backer) and the series will be putting out a whopping 25 shows, every Monday from mid-September until deep in the Fall of 2008. The shows are now being premiered in HD on vuze.com, a peer-2-peer content sharing platform exclusively, but you can catch them on Youtube, the website or MySpace video
In this last installment of Sony Crackle’s web mini-film Coma, Lennox finally wakes up and we get to witness how the deal actually went down…in a series of staccato flashbacks. Suddenly a lot of things that we’ve seen happening on the screen over the past 6 episodes come together in this 7th one.
The concept as actually pretty funny: Brad’s mother, urologist, ex-wife and exterminator have chosen 10 women for Brad to go on blind dates with out of a list of several dozen video submissions. The dates are then filmed and posted. A simple and promising reality show concept.
Try this: google “how to make money online“.
Did you do that? When I did it, the top listing was a Forbes article, but everything else – including the ads, were from people claiming that they could tell me how to live the life of my dreams by earning money online. Click on a link, and [...]
Despite my bitching, I really do enjoy the show. It’s a fabulously shot video (using Sony equipment – so I hear), the acting is 100% pro and the editing, post-production work is drop-dead gorgeous. And, it’s got one of the best online video theme songs I’ve heard (“Oh Shooter” by Robin Thicke).
It’s a video-version of “choose your own adventure”….with Zombies! Do you really need to know any more? This is a fast-paced, fun and pretty gory little show. I love the ease with which you can choose a scenario and play it out and then go back and try something else out
It occurs to me that I spend a lot of time covering amateurs and semi-pros who are creating video content that is similar or the same as what you can find on television. So, it’s good to see people making online video content that does more than just mimic what you can see on TV or in the movies.
Filmed each week in a different Vegas hotel, the show features a group of buddies basicly sitting around, having a few brews and shooting the shit. What makes it fun to watch is that the guys are all genuinely likeable and you just want to pull up a seat next to them, pop a beer open and join in the converstation.
Tyler Mills, the lead character from DELETED: The Game’s online video series was killed in yesterday’s episode 5. Needless to say, this is a big big surprise for anyone following the show and playing the game.
