Listen folks, one of the top online video comedy series, Casanovas, is out there knocking on doors trying to get the funds to put out a second season. And let me tell you, I NEED to see a second season…and if you’ve watched the show, you’d feel the same way.
So, here’s a few things that we can do to help Kip and Geoff along to getting some bucks for the next season:
If you love the Funny, you MUST help the Casanova’s….yeah, it doesn’t quite rhyme like “if the glove don’t fit, you must acquit” but you get the idea.
Here’s their new new promo…sizzle reel:
Tubefilter reports that my old childhood favorite Charlie Brown is set to distribute 20 all-new, made-for-the web video shorts. Damn you Tubefilter for being faster and better informed than me! But thanks for the heads up. I’m a Charlie Brown geek and can’t wait to get the shows.
That’s right I said “get the shows”. They’ll [...]
It’s been one of the most contentious presidential campaigns in memory, thanks in no small part to the web and to online video in particular.
Everybody who is somebody in the online vlogging community has had something to say: a gag, a rant – the typical disjointed discourse. And the more traditional video makers haven’t been [...]
Hey video junkies, it’s Halloween and I know that you really would like nothing better than to turn out the lights, sit back somewhere warm and cozy (it’s snow-raining out my window tonight and I bet it sucks where you are too), grab some of that candy you mugged off the last kids who rang [...]
After eight glorious sunny and web-free days in Portugal I’m back at it. The first thing that I did upon returning home was log on and start scouting for video updates from all my favorite Youtube producers and it struck me that, although absence does make the heart grow fonder, familiarity breeds contempt – especially [...]
Okay, ladies and gents. Perhaps I was a bit too rash in my previous article about my frustration with the perceived lack of movement from Strike.tv. I received a mail a day ago stating that a launch date has been chosen October 28th and that I should keep my eyes open for it. Here’s the [...]
The game masters over at DELETED: the Game were kind enough to give me a heads up about their having broken 1 million views. However you measure it, this is an exciting milestone for the folks over at GEN 247 and a strong statement for independent film producers in an online video marketplace increasingly being [...]
Nothing is more ubiquiteous in Hollywood than good ideas and broken promises. So it is with Strike TV – a good idea promising ground-breaking and exciting entertaintainment from main-stream Hollywood creative talent made solely for internet.
I’ve been sitting on the sidelines of the recent discussion about HBO Labs’s Hooking, the new web show with some top-rated Youtubers acting in it (Kevin Jumba, SXEPhil, LG15 Star Jessica Rose, Nalts, Michael Buckley). There has been a lot of promotion from the individual actors as well as from HBO itself…and there have been a lot of folks panning the show too. In fact it seems that the negative press is almost overwhelming.
You might recall a while back I wrote a review for an interesting and entertaining show called “the Stripper Method”, a show hosted by two lovely ladies from Las Vegas. Former strippers, current mothers, wives and business ladies, Kendra and Rachel use the show as an outlet to reminisce and to teach others “stripper lore”, passing their wisdom on, as it were, to the next generations.
